Headquarters

DAF has recently been given a land grant on the historic W.E.B. DuBois Center in Accra, Ghana to build the headquarters. This generous gift from the government of Ghana will allow the DAF to begin building immediately. By early spring 2006, the DAF HQ is expected to be completed. The facility will house the main directorate for all DAF operations. It will also offer internship as well as conference opportunities by interfacing with the DuBois Center facilities.

This center is consistent with the AU's appreciation that the African Diaspora is an essential component to the development of Africa. With the DAF headquarters located on the African Continent, DAF will be able to ensure full cooperation and engagement between Diasporas and the African Union, while creating a conduit for other Diasporas who wish to assist in the development of Africa.`
