Sankofa Wall

In furtherance of the Movement begun by George Floyd, WELCOMES ALL DIASPORA to place the names of their deserving ancestor’s on the wall.

To have the name of your loved on the Sankofa wall:

The cost is now only $100 for the engraved marble plaque and pictures.

Your ancestors name can join that of George Floyd , Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela and others.

The Sankofa wall is replete with known personalities, placed there by the living descendants

( A requirement). But it also has the names of people the world should have known but who never got a chance to return to Africa. The names of the humble grandmother who took care of the woman who didn’t live to see her grandchild be the first to graduate.- The loving mother who sacrificed for her 4 children, but only one made it back to the motherland.

Whatever Your Story, If You Believe Your Ancestor Should Be Etched In Stone:

  • Say so in three sentences or less

  • State your name (and relationship to the deceased as sponsor)

  • Spell the exact name as it should appear on the wall, and submit the form

  • When approved, we will send you a digital invoice or instructions and reference code to pay the fee.

  • Then within 5 to 7 business days, we’ll send you pictures of the mounted marble plaque on the Sankofa Wall at the historic WEB Dubois Center, which is just yards away from WEB Dubois’ tomb.

It is a powerful keepsake that you can share via with your friends and family , but most importantly, the name is literally etched in stone and mounted on the concrete wall for you and your relatives to come and view when your make your pilgrimage to Ghana for generations to come.
