The Founder and Head of Mission for the Diaspora African Forum (DAF), H.E Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett received the US Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards and The International Distinguished Leadership Awards on 29th September 2022 at the prestigious Washington National Press Club.
The Caribbean African Faith-based Leadership Conference (CAFBLC) Awards Gala and Conference 2022 recognized the sacrifices and achievements of iconic leaders whose lives have impacted the global African and Caribbean Communities through philanthropy, humanitarian services, economic development, and spiritual leadership.
This year’s Award Gala was held in conjunction with the 51st Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) under the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF). It highlighted the capacity and work of three individuals who received the United States Presidential Lifetime Achievements Awards and the African and Caribbean International Leadership Awards.
The historical event unites leaders in community development that primarily operate from a faith-based perspective, targeting major issues including opportunities for global mission partnerships and models for social and economic development.
CAFBLC is an international ecumenically focused organization that facilitates mission partnerships, interventions with US Government Faith-Based Cabinet Offices and other bilateral organizations including the World Bank and IMF and United Nations Faith Division. They engage the United States faith-based cabinet offices, diplomatic representatives, the US Department of State Office of Religious and Global Affairs, the US Department of Homeland Security and USAID and other bilateral organizations with emphasis on the domestic and international affairs.
The aim is to empower leaders to be proactive in fulfilling kingdom assignment among those who are affected by poverty, crime and violence, health disparities, human rights violations and other social issues within the Diaspora and throughout the globe.
