126 AFRICAN DIASPORAS GRANTED GHANAIAN CITIZENSHIP IN GHANA

On 22nd December 2022, the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior of the Ghana government organized a citizenship ceremony in furtherance of the Year of Return and Beyond the Return for 126 Diasporas of African American and Caribbean Descents. It was launched by H. E. Nana Akuffo-Addo to restore citizenship for historic Diasporas who have returned to their motherland after 400 years of Slavery.

Diaspora African Forum played a key role to ensure the successful execution of the citizenship Initiative.
