Ghana’s effort to combat the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been given a major boost with the arrival of some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and medical materials imported by Mercy Ship.

Mercy Ship with the support of Diaspora African Forum has taken delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be donated to the government of the Republic of Ghana to aid its fight against the COVID 19 pandemic.

Through the efforts of H.E. Dr. Erieka Bennett, Head of Mission, Diaspora Africa Forum in facilitating the transportation of these equipment as well as Dr. Juliet Tuakli, Board Member of Mercy Ship who played a key role in getting these PPEs to Ghana and Mr. Kingsley Owusu from Beechum who coordinated the storage and logistical piece, we now have the PPEs which will be handed over to Dr Dacosta Aboagye – Director Health Promotion, Ghana Health Service.

H.E. Dr. Erieka Bennett is delighted and thrilled to be part of the journey in securing the much needed items for the Ghana Health Service.
